Course Summary

The VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies - Hospitality and Catering is a qualification that has been designed to help prepare learners for employment and a career in the hospitality industry. This qualification is suitable for learners from age 14 years upwards.

This qualification has 2 mandatory units that will develop the learners knowledge and understanding of the main outlets in the hospitality industry and the career opportunities available. They will also learn about the importance of good customer service.

The optional units that make up this qualification will allow learners to tailor their learning to suit personal interests and preferences. Optional units range from basic food preparation and cooking, preparing and serving food and drink, to managing social relationships and dealing with problems in daily life.
